It is getting cold

I am in the processof putting away summer clothes. I have many winter sweaters, coats, scarves, and winter shoes.I always think ahead of the season and buy . The wind is nippy and the leaves are everywhere here.I have gathered flower seeds and brought in some of the still bloomin flowers. In the meantime my Lincoln and I, that is my beautiful, big ball of fluff, lasa alphso, are getting along suberbly as he is so obedient it astonishes me. I have never owned a dog this smart. The prior owner had told me this already and it is true.He sleeps at the foot of my bed and tells me when he needs to go outside. He still has a "Cat" issue but he is dealing with it. Everytime our cats walk by him he goes into a wild goose chase and the cats jump upon the top of cabinets, or under anything they can get under that he can"t crawl under. As long as thecats don't run hewill let them go by him. My daughter got a new cat yesterday, and her other cats are real snobby toward him. My other daughter has adopted a new dog named Buddy, and the neighbors, two of them, we think, have tried to poison him. They are animal haters. He was very sick and kids cried and cried about him. One good neighbor treated him very nice.We are animal lovers. In the meantime at my grandson's school, trouble is brewing..I won't say what but someone there is in a heap of trouble. They are senseless and heartless down there. I amthinking of receipes for Thanksgiving dinner, but I pretty well fix the same menu because we all agree. My car taxes will soon be due and I owe a bundle...I have already thought of Christmas and wonder where I have put all my stuff. I hope I did'nt throw it away.I think it may flurry tomorrow and become colder. It seems we are never satisfied with any weather, too hot or too cold....I must vacate this blog as I must cook dinner....Nice talking to you.

I Missed All Of You

I have had the mini-flu and boy did this bug give me a punch. I first took a sore throat, on one side only, then I was hot and weak and then my nose stopped up. I mean my nose was completely pluged off, I had no nose. I slept off and on even in the day time and felt so weak. Then those symptoms subsided and the dreaded :cough: started., cough, cough, cough, cough, cough, cough, cough, cough,..Excuse me, I have to go cough...I am better now. Where in the world did this virus come from? Heaven knows, but I am just glad it is leaving . N Now, on a lighter note, I am enjoying a new kitchen, thanks to my son, Lowe"s, and the good Lord above. It is very up-dated and modern. Everything is new and the floor is so beautiful. I needed it fixed up for a while, but my son was too booked up. So he knows he is the best carpenter in the world, in fact there is nothing he can't do. I am proud of him as he has also built my porch, created a beautiful pond outside, built a nice bi chain-link fenced lot for all our doggies, whom are Taz, Tuffy, Manson and Fiesty. Also our adjoining home has been landscaped by my son. He put a new roof on that house and he also built a mini-patio outside here. He is just like his dad in that he seems to have all this know-how build in ..He is my handsome one and only.. In the meantime I am allowing my other son-grandson to go in to town with his friends, and I tell him to please continue to be a good boy. The city police do not allow skateboards in town and these boys want to make their own rules. I see both sides of it but the law abides and the big hand of the law rules. He isa good boy. He just has that teenage energy to burn and loves the outdoors. He has some nice friends, and I just hope he is not being manipulated by anyone. He is totally against smoking, drugs and drinking. His step-dad is working with him to keep him straight because he, himself has been there, done that........In the meantime "my lasa alopsho and I are having a good ole time. He sleeps by my feet everynight and he obeys me, is completely housebroken and is a love muffin. I am giving a bubble bath today and I will brush his hair vigorously, as he tends to get his hair tangled easily. I actually am in love with this dog. The lady who gave him to me told me he was a good boy and she was absolutely right. I love, love, love, love , love, love him. His big round black nose and his underbite drives me nuts. I just want to squeeze him........but he still has this :CAT" issue. I honestly think he would chase my cats from here to Timbucktoo. I actually think he would tear off their heads. What am I to do? I have to keep him ona leach most of the time because I do love all my cats. My big love muffin, "Lincoln, :Link:for short is the ruler of the roost and he lets the cats know this. Though occasionaly he will let them eat out of his food bowl, if he is too sleepy to give a chase. Once my little kitten "Batsy", given this name because she looks like a bat, lay down quietly beside of Link and slept a few minutes before he awakened . At our civic center I saw where Willie Nelson is coming to our town soon. I would love to meet him, and I love to hear him sing..Maybe I can find me a buddy to go with me as my hubby does not care to go. I have a couple of daughters who share the things I do so maybe we will go. Well I gotta go, as it is time to get the Taurus warmed up and on the road to school.........it is nice to feel better. I thank my Lord for this and everything as all good things come from him..Have a nice Tuesday, October 14th 2008...

I LOVE MY LHASA APSO

Am I the luckiest thing or what? My daughter's good friend gave me a beautiful ckc registered lhasa apso..I had to look up his breed in order to spell the breed correctly. He is snow white with brown tipped ears and lovely groomed hair, bangs in his face..He slept by my feet last night. He is housebroken and is a real gentleman. I fell in love with him immediately..He is of medium size but he is a handful, literally. I took him out in the car. He sat very still and obeyed my commands. He is a dream dog....but my cats are wary of him. They are watchful because he jumps at them. I keep him on a little leash for now...He has a big black round nose and big brown eyes and he is F..L..U..F..F..Y. ................I named him Lincoln, "Link" for short. His other name was Bandit, but I think he looks like a Lincoln..........Gotta go and take him outdoors ....duty calls....Nite..Nite.

This car stops at all yard sales

On our way to Paintsville, my daughter spotted every yard sale along the way, trying to keep our priorities straight and get our business done first. We went to the dollar mart and goodwill and I sneaked over to fashion bug..Their summer tops were on sale and I tried on about 25 of them ande bought 6 of them for $19.99. Boy, was that a bargain! At goodwill i bought a pair of sketchers. and on our way back we stopped at our first yard sale..........{I do not know why this writing looks like this} It is crazy. I bought a plant and a leather tufted throw rug for my son..At the next sale I bought a lamp.. You just never know what you will find. Earlier I bought a leather coat for my hubby and bathrugs. Saturday I hope to attend a sale by the Humane Society under the parking garage. I had a yard sale already and did really good and gave the rest to the helping hands. ......Gotta go make my car payment, phone, dsl, insurance and pawn shop. There's a good possibility that I will be pretty broke after this. Gasoline is still high and it cost $20.00 just to go to Paintsville and I thunk I only get 15 miles per gallon. Oh, by the way my kitchen may get a makeover starting today. I already bought everything at Lowe"s. My son may do me the honor of working his butt off to tear the floor out and put in a new sink, cabinets and flooring..It will be appreciated..Good Day!

She had a LOVELY first day

Yes she did and boy was it a smooth day for her mom. I think dad was a little sad and wondered if she would cry. Yes I am talking about my little red-haired beauty with the big brown eyes and little chubby cheeks. This little girl is a real little lady with a mind of her own. She calls me "Mom" because "Her Mom" calls me Mom. She loves Bratz dolls. She has so many and she lokes to keep them in their birthday suit, no matter how pretty their clothes are she tears them off and pulls off their feet. We don't care cause she loves them the way she loves them...naked. Her big sissy keeps all her stuff in her room and "FORBID" anyone that enters her room will get their eye balls picked out and fed to the lions. She is just protecting her identity and beware if you enter.....But really she is a gentle lil girl....just don;t get in her stuff. Well My red-haired beauty had a lovely day at headstart..Her Mom peeped in on her and she was sitting like a lady doing her work..She already says she has lots of friends.......ut..o....they better not try to get HER bratz dolls. She might be like big sissy and let-em have it.......not the dolls. She never cried, neither did mom , nor did I. I was happy for her. Now Mom's nest is empty and the house is too quite and the backseat toddler seat is now empty in my car. Every child deserves its independence and we must let them go, though it pulls on our heart strings and leaves a lump in our throat..That little girl did sowell, she deserves a reward.....so her mom bought her a new lil bike ( with training wheels) while she was in school.. Oh by the way, Crystal when YOU read this , last night on America's got talent, on this final show the large, nice black guy won and hewas so happy he cried and told his mom he loves her and Jerry Springer called him a crybaby...The 2nd place was the young man than sang. I think the winner was deservant as he san so beautiful, though I do not like opera, I liked his way of singing.....I willbe going to Paintsville today with my daughter and we shall sop, shop, shop. By the way Ruth is getting betterand got to drink a coke finally and her sister put her some make up on andshe was up and acting better. She told all of them about me, your dad and Trevez visiting.........I am looking forward to a big opiece of birthdaycake???????? Invite me andtell me where when and I will come with my gifts.....Everyone:::::::Please have a nice day and remember.."JESUS LOVES YOU.......and so do I.

First Day Of School

My little red-haired beauty will be starting headstart today. I was astonished when her Mom told me she was going. She is a baby to me though she is three. Her other children are in school and this little girl really wants to go to school. She has her bookbag ready to go. She is very smart and is very thoughtful. She wants everything to be calm and o.k.. I am wondering thouh if she will cry. Most of my children did cry on the first day of school and they made me cry too. I remember when my oldest daughter was starting College, my youngest was starting kindergarten..so I have been at sending kids to school for a long time. Now my son[really he is my grandson whom I raised as my own] is in the 8th grade. Last night He and I attended a Christain Crusade at our civic center along with my granddaughter and daughter..Also this is the first time I saw my 14 year old granddaughter actually stand and talk to a boy whom she likes and likes her..That granddaughter is so pretty, sweet and beautiful and is a good girl. I have so many grandchildren that each of them have so many things going on that I never get bored hearing their excitement and woes....Well I willsee how the little one does this morning on her first day of school later today. Meanwhile I have to go to Lowe's to pick up my new kitchen sink , cabinets and supplies. Will catch you later.......Have a nice day
